Socrates Singer has a unique ability, passed down to him from an ancient entity known as The Thunderbird - the ability to have all avian creatures respond to his thoughts and feelings. When a mystifying attack on his home town throws Socrates into the limelight, some people begin to question whether he really is their saviour or something else. Something much more sinister.
