This book documents the author's bout with multiple myeloma. He wrote it while he was going through chemotherapy, stem cell transplant, and other treatment processes. The book contains all of the information the author wishes he had known at the start of his ordeal. The specific regimen used to treat his MM is known as the "Arkansas" treatment for multiple myeloma. Although each individual, each cancer, and each treatment regimen differ, all chemo treatment processes share lots of common ground. For this reason, this book is appropriate for all cancer patients, their families, and their friends. Included are detailed descriptions of the various treatments and diagnostic procedures to which the author was subject. He recorded his thoughts and experiences during the year prior to diagnosis (when he knew he had a problem, but didn't know what it was), throughout all treatment processes, and on into the current remission phase of this illness. FYI, two years after diagnosis, he continues in complete remission.
