    About

COMSOL Multiphysics software and its new component, Application Builder, is one of the most valuable software modeling tools for engineers and scientists. The combined connection of COMSOL Multiphysics and the MATLAB family of programming tools significantly expands the power and versatility of both systems. Multiphysics Modeling Using COMSOL 5and MATLAB explores a wide range of models in coordinate systems from 0D to 3D and introduces the readers to the numerical analysis techniques employed in the COMSOL Multiphysics and Application Builder software. The text presents electromagnetic, electronic, circuit, mathematical, optical, thermal physics, and biomedical models as examples. It provides the fundamentals behind those models and the step-by-step instructions needed to build each one. The DVD[Companion files available for downloading with Amazon order number by writing to info@merclearning.com] includes all the built models for each step-by-step example discussed in the text and the related animations, as specified. This text is designed to introduce COMSOL Multiphysics 5 modeling to an experienced scientist or engineer. It can also be used in upper level undergraduate and graduate level courses.
