The grass bends slightly and whispers with the wind of my passing, I run on a slightly curving path across the meadow, over a crest and down again unto a gently sloping valley. Ahead of me, I can see my goal, a flash of white against the green background, her mane streams out behind her and her hooves pound rhythmically on the grass. She neighs delightfully and speeds on, I am beginning to tire, and I can only keep this pace for about two minutes (Come on, am not a horse!).
Putting on a last burst of speed, I move closer to her and was within a hairs breadth of touching her flanks when I stumbled and my legs start throbbing in warning, I immediately slow and then stop. She gallops on and then sensing I had stopped, turns around and walks back towards me. I sink to the grassy floor, panting and out of breath, on reaching me, she nickers softly, nuzzling my hair.
