    About

Do you really hate maths? Or do you just love it so much? Well, you're in luck! This book is has been written just for you!

There are countless books which fail to communicate in a “fun” language (and thus don't sell very well) However, this book is different. "MatheMazing! The Beauty of Mathematics" encapsulates ten of the most famous mathematical problems in the history of mathematics! Shehab breaks these problems down into several components, to help YOU understand the fun part of mathematics!

Many people hate mathematics. It may be due to the way mathematics is taught or the way the curricula is designed. Students find high school mathematics quite unexciting as most of it is about learning the tools without understanding how these tools could ever help with the real world problems. This book helps bridge this gap!

The world of mathematics is far beyond what anyone can ever imagine.

    Problems:

    1.The Monty Hall Problem

    2.1 + 2 + 3 + 4 …

    3.Zeno’s Paradox Part One

    4.Mathemagic

    5.Pascal’s Triangle

    6.Cheryl’s Birthday Problem

    7.Zeno’s Paradox II

    8.Three Prisoners Problem

    9.The Josephus Problem

    10.The Most Beautiful Equation - Euler's Identity

Galileo once said, “Mathematics is the language in which God has written the universe.”

Mathematics unfolds a myriad of profound ideas which can change the way one perceives the universe. There are many patterns observable in the world around us. Studying these patterns to discover the underlying formula embodied in them is the most fascinating part of mathematics. Another element of mathematics that always appealed me is ‘probability’. As most of the decisions we take in life are based on incomplete information, using the concepts of probability provides us the best chance at predicting any outcome which may at times be quite counter-intuitive. Probability makes for many an interesting, exciting and entertaining problem some of which we will see in this book.

Mathematician and Nobel laureate Bertrand Russell once said, “Mathematics possesses not only truth, but supreme beauty – a beauty cold and austere like that of a sculpture.” My purpose of writing this book is to introduce the reader to the ‘supreme beauty’ and ‘joy’ of mathematics by exploring the proofs of some of the most logic-defying problems, dilemmas, and paradoxes, in an entertaining and easy to understand way.

During this book, we will deal with ten world famous and most arduous mathematical challenges. Join me in the adventure of exploring the solutions to these mind-boggling problems!
