A life of poverty and hunger is reality to Eden Delger. She’s upset and angry at her nation for all they do, and she finally gets her chance to do something about it when she gets drafted for the War. This is her chance to make history. She doesn’t want to fight the enemies, she wants to fight the War, and make sure nobody else has to live the way she did. In Eden’s efforts to end the war, she discovers that President Little is actually prolonging the war for his own greed, and he is not going to take Eden’s effort nicely. Eden has already dove headfirst into the anti-war effort, and must choose between making history, or getting killed for treason.
