It is 1960s London and Freddie and Freda Bright are leading a charmed life. Freddie earns plenty of money from his gangland activities, and they have a beautiful well behaved daughter named Amy. When Amy becomes sullen and withdrawn, she is unable to reveal the reason why. She runs away from home and begins working the streets. She is aiming towards something much bigger, and all she has to do is to bide her time.
