Madcat and Jake is the story of two most unlikely friends. Madcat is a slightly mad Maine Coon cat, happily settled in the pleasures of middle age and the solitude that comes from being the sole pet in the Proudfoot house. Madcat’s stable existence is, however, upturned by the arrival of a bouncing, barking, enthusiastic Golden Retriever puppy called Jake. Madcat’s initial hostility and jealousy to this “mangy fluff ball” soon turns to friendship as the older cat discovers a new adage: “dogs are a cats’ best friend.”
From the threat of cat chasing dogs, starring in a Pantomime, flying high in the sky and saving the day on numerous occasions, Madcat and Jake embark on a myriad of adventures that show that you can never be sure what your pets get up to the minute you walk out the front door.
