Kayla Hopkins has lived in the Alaska wilderness since she was ten years old and her parents were killed in a plane accident. Now twenty years later out severe loneliness, Kayla goes to Seattle for a vacation. On her trip, she meets Ann Reynolds. Ann convinces Kayla that she wants to write her life story. Living in the wilderness is only part of Kayla's story. She is also a well respected artist with a few secrets that only a few people know. Ann arrives at the cabin to spend the winter writing about Kayla. The two women quickly become friends and love blossoms, but can it last after the book is done?
