LIVERPOOL MURDERS – MORE VICTORIAN WOMEN WHO KILLED

Following on from Liverpool Murders-The Victorian Women Who Killed (published 2014), this covers twenty one more killings that took place in Liverpool in the Victorian era. Stories include a woman who killed her partner after he complained there was no gravy, a prostitute who killed a sailor as he wouldn't buy her a drink and some sad tales of women who killed their babies after developing mental health problems. There are also some shocking cases where not guilty verdicts were returned, even though the actions of the women in today's society would surely have resulted in convictions and lengthy prison sentences.
