'Like a Foreign Land' is the author's attempt to recreate the way life was in Baltimore, Maryland at a time and in a setting that has all but vanished. Born in 1935 into a Jewish family, this autobiography traces his grandparents immigration from Russia in the early 1900s, to his parental background, and recounts his memories and impressions of growing up in Baltimore's Golden Ghetto.
'Summer of '53' is an account of the unusual adventures of two recent high school graduates as they ventured out into the world beyond their Jewish culture.
