Many of my miniature dachshund sweater design buyers have asked me to come up with another design for our adorable breed … and Lena told me she wouldn’t mind a new sweater, either! So I’ve come up with Lena’s Textured Stripe Miniature Dachshund Sweater.
At a casual glance, this looks like a garter stitch (knit every row)design, but please look more closely. Bands of plain garter stitch are interchanged with a slipped stitch garter stitch pattern, making attractive “V” shaped accent stitches.
The only purl stitches in the project are the purl stitches in the collar and bottom edge rib.
This is an easy knit and I give you my tip for easily carrying three different color yarns along the edge without ending up with a three-color spaghetti mess.
As with all my patterns, if you have any questions as you work up the design, please contact me at the Email address listed on the pattern. I want you to have fun and end up with a spectacular result.
Lena says “Hi!” to all the other adorable miniature Dachshunds out there!
