By the early 15th Century France was on the brink of disaster. The English were everywhere victorious in the latter stages of the Hundred Years War. It seemed to men and women that France would cease to exist as an independent kingdom. It was in this darkest hour of the history of France, when all seemed lost, that she stepped forth to bring salvation to France and glory to God. Her name was Joan.
