Rome, the Marathon… A great event for the city, la città eterna, a great event for Giorgia, Marco, Stefano and Vincenzo who have come from Bergamo to take part in it. But, during the marathon, something happens, something terrible: Marco dies. Marco, la “carogna”, a man hated by everybody because of his arrogance and ruthlessness. Only Giorgia is fond of him and considers him her best friend.
Soon it becomes clear that the cause of death was not a heart stroke: The runner was murdered during the marathon. By who? And why? Could it have been Stefano, his ex classmate and employee, or maybe another mysterious runner, a man from his past, or... someone else, someone nobody has ever suspected?
