Inauguration Day

Richard Grantham is down and out, on his uppers, skint. His friend Vicky tries to recruit him to the BNP but Richard doesn't want to join a bunch of extreme right-wing loonies, so she finds him a job instead, house-sitting for a mysterious millionaire in a vast Hampstead mansion. Richard soon finds he likes the playboy lifestyle and decides to adopt his absent employer's identity. But as Richard gradually gets sucked in to events he can't control that lead him to Washington DC on Inauguration Day he begins to wonder if that was what he was supposed to do all along. And when a plot is uncovered to assassinate the President on the steps of the Capitol, Richard finds himself directly in the line of fire...
