In A Different World is a memoir of a young girl who suffers from Autism and other mental health issues. Hannah's memoir details her journey through secondary school and through the complex world of relationships, friendships and obsessive behaviour. Hannah is misunderstood and is treated badly by people around her. Friends desert her, classmates tease her and teachers shout, make judgments and even physically torment Hannah. Hannah attended two modern British secondary schools between 2006-2011 and one was even rated 'outstanding' by ofsted. Once she leaves school, things don't get much better for Hannah. She is discriminated against in her workplace and gets an overpowering obsession with a middle aged woman. Hannah almost gets admitted into hospital after the NHS and other groups designed to help Hannah let her down. A compelling true story, Hannah doesn't pull her own punches and tells the story honestly, but through they eyes of a confused young woman.
