“The most outrageously funny wedding story ever!”
“Jack and Harry are the best double act since Laurel and Hardy”
“Well worth the wait – another hilarious gem”
“This hysterical romp reduced me to tears”
The comedy adventures of Jack, Harry and Gladys Wilde continue with this third book in the series.
It’s been a few months since their crazy summer holiday and Jack has decided that he would like to take his relationship with Gladys Wilde to the next level – he wants to ask for her hand in marriage, but it is proving to be far from easy.
Not only does Jack turn into a jittery, bumbling, nervous wreck every time he attempts to propose, but unbeknown to him, Gladys is being held hostage in her home by an escaped convict and she keeps abruptly turning Jack away from her doorstep whenever he tries. Jack can’t figure out what is going on, even though Gladys, with a gun in her back, is trying to drop the heaviest of hints.
Mystified and downtrodden, Jack decides to seek the help of his best friend, Harry. But instead of receiving some helpful advice, Harry only manages to exacerbate matters further by convincing Jack that Gladys is shacked up with another man.
Although Jack is devastated, Harry won’t allow him to go down without a fight.
But will Jack somehow muster up the courage to prove his love and confront his rival?
