About Idiomatic language
English idiomatic expressions are used both in formal and informal communications. They come naturally to native speakers who use them spontaneously without giving them much thought. However, non-native speakers of English have been found to lack the ability to use such expressions adequately, therefore creating a gap in proficiency.
