Two page pamphlet in print since 1982 outlining some of the characteristics and behaviors of those who grew up with one or more alcoholic parents or grandparents.

The cover art (by artist Bill Hogan) symbolizes the survivor of a shipwreck who continues to wear a lifejacket long after having safely arrived on dry land. Children of alcoholics and addicts practice a number of behaviors that were essential to survival in the family. However, once having reached adulthood, these behaviors can be modified over time and eventually discarded as no longer essential. This pamphlet led to the writing and publication of the book of the same title published by Continuum in 1992. This book is currently being rewritten, and will eventually be published in a Kindle edition.
