This volume is the first of four volumes. Volume I describes
the history and structure of BASIC; Volume II describes the
computerisation of non-parametric statistical tests and
some other statistical measures in BASIC and Volume III
describes the programming of matrices and polynomials in
BASIC and Borland TurboC. Volume IV describes the
development of assembly language programs called from
BASIC.
In this volume, the history and structure of BASIC are
described.
