This is a feel good story about a kitten named “Kitty-paw”. Kitty-paw has human characteristics, and experiences some of the day-to-day experiences that human children have. Using pictures of cats and other animals in familiar surroundings, children will identify with Kitty-paw.
It’s readily understandable, and many children have responded with “aww…..” as the pages were being turned.
This story was written for my daughter, who is now 5 years old. It was developed from the many ideas arising during our playing together.
My daughter loves to incorporate stuffed animals into play. I learned early-on that the pretend dialog that I invented for the animals engages her and also facilitates expression of her thoughts and emotions.
