In today’s society, most people do not actually pay attention to the real nutritional value of the foods they consume. Cancer, diabetes, heart diseases and other life-threatening illnesses are prevalent in today’s day. The food we take in is responsible or almost every disease we have. Food and water intake is one of the ways we communicate with the outer environment. Usually when you fell ill, the doctor prescribes you with some medicine and tells you what to eat and what to avoid. If you don’t follow your diet closely, you may end up with an illness. Most people know the cliche: stay away from processed foods, eat lots of vegetables, exercise regularly, and have enough sleep. However, since we are all human, many times it is hard for us to keep our routine. We may be tempted by a delicious dish that contains way too much calories, fat and cholesterol that we are allowed to take in per day. We may have a busy work schedule that we find it hard to cook our own meals or exercise or sleep early. However, no matter how many excuses we have, if we do not try to lead a healthy lifestyle, our health will suffer.
