Gran Canaria has a large number of places and attractions so it can be hard to know which are really worth a visit. In this guide you will find our Top 20 to the must see things to do on a trip to Gran Canaria.
Gran Canaria is described as a ‘mini continent’, and after a visit here, you will understand why. From the dry south of the island to the green landscapes of the north, you will see how diverse this island is.
The best way to explore the island is to hire a rental car at the airport when you arrive, and enjoy traveling around the mountain and coastal roads, to discover as much of this wonderful place as you can. Even if you prefer to relax, some car journeys around the island are certainly worth it, just to see the pretty villages and towns, and the breathtaking views from up in the mountains.
Most of the locals of Gran Canaria live in the exciting capital, Las Palmas. This city has something for everyone, and a fantastic city beach too.
Party tourists can be found in Playa del Inglés, and Puerto Rico. Families tend to stay in Maspalomas, and those wanting a quieter vacation head to my favorite spot, what I believe is the most pretty town on the Island, Puerto de Mogán.
There is so much more to discover on this great island than you might believe!
What makes this Gran Canaria 2017 book unique is that the author Lynne Knightley has visited the island and its attractions personally, and many times! She uses her firsthand knowledge to create a travel book which readers love. This all makes for a great experience when they visit Gran Canaria!
