The second exciting adventure in the world of the Alpha Knights.
They had done the impossible, they stopped Doctor Devastator, but the price had been high. Eighty percent of the world's population had still been killed, and now they were trapped thirty-five years into a future they never could have imagined. The United States as they knew it was gone. In its place was a strange world that was a mixture of future technology with 1950s social mores.
More worrisome of all was that the Federal World Authority, the government that rose out of the ashes of the Purges and the Unification War, did not want to admit that along with the Alpha Knights, the ultrahuman powers had returned. They wanted all ultrahumans to simply go away, and the head of the World Alliance Security Police was willing to go to any lengths to make sure that would happen. Worse yet, Torque, one of the most powerful villains (or hero depending on who you asked) had regained his powers and was looking for the reason that the powers went away.
Meanwhile out in the Gulf of Mexico, a new force had entered their world, and it was all the fault of their mentor, the man who'd saved them and helped them stop Doctor Devastator, Alden Snow Gerins.
The pull of the Godstones that had allowed them early access to their powers was becoming stronger as the team known as the Alpha Knights slowly came to realize what it means to be an ultrahuman in this new time. Other terms that had been bandied about started to have frightening meanings for them as well: Primal Vessels, and Godlings, to name just two. New allies, new villains, and a whole new world takes shape around Excelsior, Aquaean, Witchwing, Lucent, Icecat, and Superswift as they struggle to survive in a future they never meant to create.
(With tie-ins to the Atlantis Unleashed, Yffandia, and Cadre 5 Universes.)
