‘Global Warming the plus side’ is a satirical look at the effects of climate change, in a comic strip format. It is a humorous collection of jokes about the positive effects of a warmer world. Quite a few of the jokes are based on possible changes in the United Kingdom, where the weather has always been an obsession amongst the English.
A sort of dark green humour based on the worst predictions for a warmer world but inverting the frightening consequences into a “look on the bright side” attitude.
Hopefully the irony will amuse the reader whilst also informing them of some of the possible changes.
Most of these strips appeared between 2007-8 in the English satirical magazine “Private Eye”.
This book is in no way authorised by them, particularly since I have included strips that they did not use and some they never saw.
