Getting past the first 30 seconds

    By Julie Creffield

What do you think about this eBook?

    About

Have you ever had dreams of becoming a runner? But had them smashed when you realised that you can't even manage 30 seconds of jogging without collapsing in a heaving mess.

Do you give up by telling yourself that its REALLY not going to happen? Or do you seek advice from someon who knows how tough it is but has found a way to overcome the initial barriers to running as an absolute beginner.

This book explains why the first 30 seconds of running is so incredibly hard, and offers some common sense tips and tricks to keep you going. It challenges you to get out there and simply run three times a week for three weeks using 5 simple strategies to see if you can notice an improvement and break that half minute barrier.

    Is this book for me?

Started Couch25K but given up because it was too hard?
Too embarressed to run in public?
Afraid people will laugh and stare?
    Worried about keeling over?

Then this is the book for you without a shadow of a doubt.

Although this book can help both male or females struggling to come to terms with the sport of running it does focus specifically on the barriers that many overweight women in particular face when heading out the door for a run. It may not promise you weightloss but it does promise to make you a happier and healthier person in your current body.

    Who is the author?

Author Julie "Fattymustrun" Creffield is the brains behind the successful blog www.thefatgirlsguidetorunning.com where she supports overweight runners from all over the world to achieve their dreams. Having gone from a 20 stone, cheesecake eating party girl to a sub 6 hour London marathoner, she herself started from scratch too. So if anyone knows how difficult it is to run for 30 seconds straight as a beginner or returner she does. In this ebook she uses her 10 years of running experience to get you off to the best possible running start and beyond the point where most people call it a day and decide that running is not for them.

What are other people saying about this book

I wish I'd found this sooner! I finally worked some of this out myself but if I had read this first I'm pretty sure it would have been easier. Humorous and practical it's a must read for a beginner runner.

Inspirational, irreverent and funny book but gets the five main points across well. All that remains is to get running!

Julie is right, there is no magic wand or super secret you just gotta get out there and do it.
