Geordie Dropped In is a true story, which follows a proud 'dyed in the wool' Geordie. Ron Jackson who was born in dire poverty in the infamous area of Scotswood Road, Newcastle upon Tyne. The story chronicles Ron throughout his army career, firstly serving three years in the R.E.M.E. completing his basic training in England before being posted to Tripoli in North Africa, where he was stationed for over two years. During this period, Ron's extremely interesting life gives fodder for an abundance of hilarious stories, which read almost as fiction. A few years later Ron joined the T.A.
