The Model Showcase of Nicole Johnson. Go back and imagine being in grade school. Remember the student that paced the halls with her head held low, walking carelessly with slumped shoulders seeming as if she had low self-esteem? Remember that student that always seemed to work alone on those group projects, because no one would volunteer to work with her? That student did not have the courage to look herself in the mirror and view herself as a beautiful young woman. She took every single compliment she was given with a grain of salt. Now, imagine that same student who has matured with age as well as self-confidence. That student who walked the halls of grade school with her head held low, but now would not dare walk her college campus any other way than with her head held high. One who, now, takes the negative words she’s given as constructive criticism and her motivation rather than discouragement. One who catches a glimpse of a young woman who walks with her head held - encourages that young woman to raise her head because that woman is, “beautiful, just as she is”. That beautiful woman is me, Nicole “Nikki” Johnson.
