This study has implications for policy making to augment food security of village households, particularly the vulnerable households. The findings suggest that health and skill of poor people should be enhanced to make them capable to secure the food. Similarly, villages should be selectively integrated with the outside market in order to discourage consumption of food items that adversely affect the food security.
