On November 22, 2011, Giacomo lay convalescent in hospital, having had a bit of his brain taken out. On April 19, 2012, he went for a 20' run/walk, having always maintained he couldn't stand running. The brain surgery was meant to free Giacomo of epileptic seizures. It didn't. But maybe it freed him of his dislike for running? This is Giacomo's story from that first run/walk to tackling the epic West Highland Way Race in 2015. It's the tale of an ordinary runner with no great natural gifts who fell in love with running and its extraordinary gifts of enjoyment, achievement and friendships. One of the most unlikely love stories ever told.
