    About

May Week Ball at Cambridge had begun light-heartedly enough, with dancing and lobster and Chateau Yquem.

But before the night was out, Peter Savage had made a decision that would profoundly alter the course of his life.

He needed a summit to strive towards, a goal that lay where no man had ever been and where no one knew the dangers.

Most of all, Peter Savage yearned for the fierce ecstasy of triumph over insuperable odds.

And on the treacherous slopes of the distant Himalayas, far from home, he would find the challenge he was searching for...

Far, Far the Mountain Peak is a thrilling adventure of courage and endurance from a master story-teller.

“A splendid storyteller, and a master at describing battles and campaigns” – Daily Telegraph
