This book is a recollection of all the events that transpired for me (Rob in this story) and my partner Sarah when we visited the Amazon Rainforest in September 2016.
This piece of writing started off as a short blog post, which turned into a long blog post, then morphed into something completely different - a short-story of approximately 10,000 words. This made it too long to put on our travel blog and so we made the decision to publish online.
The cover may look serious but I can assure you, this book contains mainly humour. It's written in the style of a thriller mainly because I've been reading Michael Crichton and Lee Child while I've been away and it fit the subject matter rather well.
It's a true story, every event mentioned in the book, no matter how small, did actually happen.
Names of people and businesses have been altered - the main reason for this is that they tried very hard to rectify the situation when it all went to pieces - and we don't want to pick on individuals.
