Entrepreneurship is a hot topic right now. Everywhere you look, States are trying to put in new laws-- or axe olds laws-- in hopes of attracting entrepreneurs to their State. The reality is, this is not a strategy--- it's a rat race. The only real strategy for increasing entrepreneurship in you area is not to attract entrepreneurs- it's to make entrepreneurs. You do this by focusing on entrepreneurship education.
To date, entrepreneurship education has been predominantly focused on teaching content about entrepreneurship. However, recent research has shown that it's time to move from learning about entrepreneurship to learning through entrepreneurship. This book looks to do just that. By taking the best practices from a number of programs from around the country and compiled them into a single framework-- a bluepoint if you will-- for a truly action-based education model called Education-Through-Entrepreneurship, or an "ETE program". ETE is designed to increase learning efficiency-- that is, to allow a person to learn more in the same unit of time than someone using less efficient learning strategies. And this is exactly what we need in entrepreneurship education.
Last century, to change the world you became a lawyer and then entered politics. The people that lead the next century won't be the lawyers-turned-politicians, they'll be the entrepreneurs. The countries that lead the next century won't be full of lawyers-turned-politicians, they'll be the countries with entrepreneurs everywhere.
