PJ Nel, known by family and friends as Flip, was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1946. He found his calling as a game ranger in the Kruger National Park in 1971 and was employed there in excess of 30 years.
These days he spends his retirement writing and gardening around his cottage in the Ceres Mountains of the Western Cape where he tries to persuade the wildlife not to destroy his Proteas.
This book is not his autobiography, but rather a memoir of his most embarrassing moments during his daily life in the magnificent Kruger
