Looking through an old family photo album, I was inspired to create a series of painterly images, set in the country. I visualized a young woman in jeans, in various scenes on an old dairy farm. Other settings would see her leisurely in a pretty cotton dress, while other settings would be consisting of topless and artistic nudes.
To get started, I needed reference images to work from. I had to find a farm, and I had to find a model, who was willing to pose nude, in a setting where I couldn’t necessarily guarantee complete privacy. Shocking as it may sound, I found that it was much harder to find a suitable farm, than it was to find a willing model. The other major variable I had to deal with, besides securing a location and lining up a model, is the weather.
In the end, the weather was my biggest challenge. This is a collection of paintings I created from the reference images I captured that day.
