    About

Knock. Knock! Quack. Quack! There’s a duck at our door but what does it want? And what happens next? This is the tale of a household that suddenly finds itself busy with ducks and ducklings, after a knock on the door by a duck seeking food.

This is a true story that describes what happened after a simple act of kindness in feeding that hungry duck. It’s based on real events that occurred in the life of Deanius DaGenius, the author and illustrator of a number of children’s books with funny, witty and original rhymes and positive and uplifting stories.

This is a story of fun, humor and love illustrated with wonderful drawings that enlarge and enrich the text. It captures the essence of duckie attitude and of the animal lover’s soul. It really is a ducky treat.

Very young children, who are too young to read, will enjoy hearing about ducks and ducklings and how they sometimes interact with people who love animals. Children will love to ask questions about the ducks in the pictures and learn about nature.

The story is written in Dr Seuss-style rhyming verse. The pictures are wonderful and the words are easy enough for average readers from age 6 upwards and will appeal to children who like a well written, entertaining story with a surprising twist. Parents will love it too.

If you enjoy heart-warming stories you’ll probably enjoy this. Nothing is more endearing than true stories with simple, sweet stories that accompany adorable, clear illustrations of ducks and ducklings, especially to children as they’re growing up.

Prepare yourself for laughs and maybe even a little learning about nature. Included in the book is a FAQ that tells how the book is based on real life events and teaches your child a little about ducks and ducklings and also has a bit of character development in it.
