Sight words are words that beginning readers should memorize rather than sound out. By going over these sight words with your child, you are helping them to master reading.
I initially created these "themed" flashcards for one of my students who would become quite bored while studying sight words. I created flashcards that I thought would be interesting and it worked! Suddenly, he was looking forward to practicing his sight words because I was using a format that entertained him.
The sight words are from the following Dolch Word Lists: Pre-Primer, Primer, First Grade, Second Grade and Third Grade.
