DAMAGED PEOPLE: An abusive relationship of violence and addiction (domestic abuse stories)

Two young lovers, both from broken homes, struggle together in the quest for prosperity. Determined – and even desperate – they manage to pull themselves out of poverty, and into a world of decadence and self-celebration.

However, like so many starry-eyed aspirants before them, they soon find that their worldly success only solves their worldly problems, and that the wounds of their broken childhoods remain as raw and as deep as ever.

Violence, addiction and betrayal ensue as their cheery façade evaporates, and their relationship is exposed for what it really is: a marriage of two very, damaged people…
