British tycoon Simon Bordain had it all. A beautiful wife, properties all over the globe, private islands, private jets. Everything he touched turned to gold. Wanting to tap into the rapidly emerging market that was Asia, he decided to relocate full time to Singapore. Settling into the millionaires paradise of Sentosa, everything appeared to be going according to plan, when having clinched one of his biggest deals his world is brought tumbling down around him.
Trying to find answers he turns to his close friend Anthony Hiddlestone, the British PM, to help him get to the bottom of the tragic events. A quick call from the PM to his counterpart in Singapore and the Commissioner of Police at Scotland Yard and it isn't long before Detective Chief Inspector James Hayes of the Metropolitan Police Force is en route to Singapore to assist the local police officers in their investigation.
James doesn't know what kind of reception he will receive when he arrives. He will be the first British Detective that has worked on a local case in Singapore since the days of British Colonial Rule.
Arriving in Singapore James battles the heat and gets straight down to work, hoping he can solve the mystery as soon as possible and get back to London where he belongs.
