The two have sex and then the victim is murdered with an ice pick. Later, the killer says nonchalantly: "Killing isn't like smoking. You can stop."
In the 11 minute video called '1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick' which Magnotta posted online, the victim is tied to a bed and while he is sexually assaulted he is stabbed a number of times with an ice pick. In an earlier blog post, Magnotta had written, "Killing is different than smoking... with smoking you can actually quit."
