    About

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.---Aristotle

Habits create routine and most of us run our lives by some sort of routine. Habits define who we are, what we do and what we accomplish in life and career.

There is no single hack, tool, guide or how-to that can simplify your workday. And just when you learn how to improve your productivity, you will move on to the next level of tasks and to-do lists whose new challenges will defy the ability of any single formula to get what you really need or want done. Creating or building new habits is one of the most fundamental things you can learn, because it allows you to reshape your life and career: that’s truly transformational.

I share these lessons, tips guidance not as a commandment but as things you might try on your journey of change and constant learning. Try them one or two at a time, so you might not be overwhelmed.

Here are MINI PRODUCTIVITY HACKS for an awesome day.

“It’s not knowing what to do, it’s doing what you know.” ~ Tony Robbins

    1. Daily goals. Without a clear focus, it’s too easy to succumb to distractions. Set targets for each day in advance. Decide what you’ll do; then do it.

    2. Worst first. To defeat procrastination learn to tackle your most unpleasant task first thing in the morning instead of delaying it until later in the day. This small victory will set the tone for a very productive day.

    3. Peak times. Identify your peak cycles of productivity, and schedule your most important tasks for those times. Work on minor tasks during your non-peak times.

    4. Mini-milestones. When you begin a task, identify the target you must reach before you can stop working. For example, when working on a book, you could decide not to get up until you’ve written at least 1000 words. Hit your target no matter what.

    5. Slice and dice. Break complex projects into smaller, well-defined tasks. Focus on completing just one of those tasks.

    6. 30 days. Identify a new habit you’d like to form, and commit to sticking with it for just 30 days. A temporary commitment is much easier to keep than a permanent one. You will be amazed at the results.

    7. Do it now! (That should be your mantra) Recite this phrase over and over until you’re so sick of it that you cave in and get to work.

    8. Single-task. Stop multi-tasking (seriously, stop) at least not on a day-to-day basis. Instead, focus on one task at a time. This leads to greater productivity and less stress.
