Q. What makes The Hopeful Years series special?
A. Beneath the Apple Blossom, the first book in the series is told from the point of view of four women all struggling with something - infertility, family life or motherhood (or indeed not wanting to be pregnant or have a baby). The subsequent books will continue each woman's story after Beneath the Apple Blossom ends, either focusing on the aftermath of infertility or the different struggle of parenthood and children. It's a book that many women will be able to relate to one way or another.
Q. Can you sum up Beneath the Apple Blossom and why readers should give it a try?
A. It's an emotional read about hope and loss, friendship and betrayal, that is rooted in reality - the emotions are true to life and ones that so many women experience throughout their lives. It's not an easy read and the book deals with serious subjects such as infertility, IVF, pregnancy and miscarriage, yet it's also about hope, friendship, sisterhood, family life and motherhood.
