It’s the middle of summer vacation and Mickey insists that they all do something that doesn’t involve horses, like go to the beach. She’s been invited to the biggest party of the summer and she’s taking Emily with her, whether she likes it or not.
But Emily is still reeling from finding her stepsister draped on the arm of a Grand Prix rider at the last show like it was completely normal. It’s not. Cat doesn’t like riding or horses or any of that stuff. That is Emily’s private world and the stepsister she doesn’t even like is sticking her big nose in right where it doesn’t belong.
So when Emily finds out that there is a beach race at the party, she knows it is the perfect opportunity to put Cat off horses once and for all. But to get the stepsister she hates out of her riding life for good, she’s going to have to step over the line between right and wrong and if Cat gets hurt, will she ever be able to live with herself?
