Ten year old Nicholas Cracklesnap is shipwrecked on an island inhabited by Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the original Fairy Godmother, and Flicker (the little man who turns the light on in the fridge) - all creatures who existed because people once believed in them but are now exiled to Echo Island, where they are cursed to never leave, until they fade out of existence.
The Bogeyman is also trapped here, but he wants off. And he believes if he scares a real, living boy, he’ll gain enough power to break the curse and be free. Knowing this, Santa sends Nicholas off the island. But when the Bogeyman kidnaps Santa, Nicholas returns and faces the Abominable Snowman (and his less abominable wife, Yeti) and the Loch Neff Monster to save Santa not only from the Bogeyman, but also Rudolpho, Son of Bogeyman.
