“But, won't you miss Heaven?” Elkan took his beloved's chin and forced her eyes to meet his squarely. A heat spread between them as he kissed her lips lightly.
“Darci. I'm looking at my Heaven.”
Darci laughed for the first time in forever, “I think I like this angle of Heaven.” Elkan smiled and kissed her. Darci may have imagined it, but she could have sworn that her feet had left the ground and she flew.
