This is the story of my life in show business as writer and producer in New York and Hollywood in the last half of the 20th century. If much of it sounds more like fiction than fact, it just proves the truth of the old truism that truth is stranger than you-know-what. Or if not stranger, then funner. Or if not funner, then sadder. Or if not sadder, then--well, on and on.

Reading this book may not make you richer, or wiser, or wittier, or healthier, or taller, or thinner, or beautiful enough to become a movie star, but you will have a good time!
