A Scene from Bohemian Life

"A Scene from Bohemian Life" is a short play about a penniless musician, Schaunard, and his used-to-be one-and-only, Musetta, as they conspire to kill -- by singing to it -- a parrot that is enervating the rich Aloys, for whom Musetta left Schaunard. The action takes place in Paris in the era of Louis Philippe -- the bohemia of Henri Murger's myriadly re-maked "Scenes from Bohemian Life".
