Kate Maxwell almost drowned at the age of five. After that, she never felt the same again. She was urged to write her story by a famous researcher of childhood near-death experiences, P.M.H. Atwater, who takes her book on tour with her to help people understand the after-effects of childhood NDEs. According to research, many kids have had NDEs and might not even know it. It's reported that 80% of
children whose heart has stopped will have an NDE. Some of the after-effects include the following:
* Incresed intelligence;
* Hunger for knowledge;
* Increased psychic ability;
* Unable to tolerate violence;
* Difficulty relating to children their age;
* Interest in universal love vs. love of specific people;
* Increased spirituality;
* Desire to be of service to others.
By writing her story, Kate hopes to help other kids who might be dealing with some of the same issues she had growing up.
