An 11-year-old girl’s young life is turned upside down when Communist troops invade her small village during the 1948-49 revolution in China. The soldiers remove her teacher from the school and replace her with a strict instructor who teaches the children to memorize Communist theory. After soldiers desecrate the church, she makes a heroic decision to sneak into the church at night to be with Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Many years later her actions inspire Bishop Fulton Sheen.
