In this short story prequel to the novel Designated Survivor, Grace and his team are on a mission in Russia to retrieve a high level member of the Russian government that has been feeding information to the CIA for years. Once the man's life becomes threatened he must be extracted. The mission is simple enough for the team but Grace's conscience gets the best of him and he goes back in to recover a second asset.
